This powerful play by Eugene O’Neill was brought to life in a unique staging by Michael Rau. The play takes place in a series of rooms which are revealed through sliding panels and opening doors. Lighting helps to craft these spaces, rendering them in both warm and cool tones.

Lighting as a storyteller
The different color and intensity of the lighting helped to create the different rooms on the stage. The lighting worked in tandem with the rest of the storytelling (actors, set, sound) to create a strong 90 minute theatrical undertaking.
